This week in Reception we have been focusing on the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. The children have been sequencing the story, collaging caterpillars and butterflies, and making minibeast houses. In maths, we have been focusing on our numbers to five finding 1 more and 1 less. The children have been introduced to the part-whole model where they have been finding different combinations of 5. In RE the children have been learning all about the creation story and how Christians could say thank you to God. The children created a prayer as a group of what they would say thank you to God for. We also explored programming bee bots to move in different directions which was great fun!
