Welcome back and Happy New Year - 10 January 2018
Welcome back to Class 3!
Hope you all had a great Christmas break. The children have come back ready to learn. Just a few reminders first:
Swimming will start back on a Monday and PE sessions will continue on a Friday. Mrs Barker will work with Class 3 on Thursday afternoon and is often outside so warm clothes/coat will be needed!
We would love all children to read every day and record in the orange Home Liaison book what and when they have read. I will be sending homework and spellings home on a Friday. It is important that spelling books come back to school on Monday and stay in school for the week. Plesae try and encourage children to look after their own spelling books.
Our theme this term is Around the World in 54 days, which I know will be difficult to do! Seriously, we will be studying a geographical based theme this term and will be comparing different locations around the World. Our quality text which we are all reading is The Wreck of the Zanzibar by Michael Morpurgo. In Science we are looking at Animals including humans!
Please continue to liaise with myself through the orange book.
Jane Davies and team.
