The week where we had more than a glass and a half of fun! - 7 February 2020
Hola from all of us!
This week was a great week because we got to go to Cadbury World and eat lots of chocolate. We learnt the history of chocolate for example about the first shop in Bull Street owned by John Cadbury and it was actually for selling tea. Chocolate became sweeter and creamier because one of the Cadbury sons went to Switzerland and learnt how to add fresh milk to chocolate. Before this happened, the hot chocolate was a big block of cocoa which they had to heat up with the dried milk and stir. We enjoyed walking through the Mayan/Aztec sections to see the cocoa bean develop. Fun fact! When they first started serving hot chocolate you had to get through the layers of fat and grease before drinking it – gross!
Later on in the day, we all really enjoyed having yummy hot, melted chocolate with toppings of our choice and the 4D ride with a very naughty parrot who allowed us to fall in the lift before we’d even started the cinema experience! We enjoyed the slowest car ride in the history of the world going through Cadbury’s Beanville!
Manakin has learnt to walk as he was very grumpy about his cousin, Samakin, going missing after he joined our trip to Cadbury World on Tuesday. So Manakin wanted a piece of the chocolate action and has made his way out to our new board in the Library. If anybody finds Samakin, please let Class Four know immediately!
