Sundials, the moon and cycling! - 1 October 2020
In the words of Class 4, where do the days go?!
This week has felt particularly busy here in Class 4. The highlight for many was watching ex pupil, Evie Richards; win her first Elite Women’s short track cyclo-cross race. The thrilling finish was nail-biting stuff and the roar of applause was, I’m sure, heard across West Malvern.
Also, on Wednesday we welcomed Mr Fieldhouse (the Head teacher at The Chase) to talk to Y5 and Y6 about life at High School and The Chase.
In our learning, we are focussing on the four operations in maths, and filling any gaps from lockdown. We are now planning our end of unit piece of writing based on Cosmic, our class reader. In art, we used view finders and chalks to create images of the moon. Also, as the sun was out on Tuesday, we made the most of it and used our sun dials to investigate the Earth’s rotation and day and night. In P.E. we are enjoying developing our tennis skills.
Another busy week in Class 4!
