Welcome back!  

 

We are well into the Summer term already and we welcome Miss Hayes, our student!

This term we will be travelling back in time through our Time trekkers theme and will be setting up a Museum Exhibition together with Class 4 later in the term. In Literacy we are dipping into an old classic 'The Phoenix and the Carpet' by E. Nesbit.

Miss Hayes and I are excited to see the children explore themes based on British History, The Benin Kingdom and The Romans.

We may also travel to the future in Literacy...

Homework will be based on spelling patterns and given weekly, both on our separate Class 3 Blog (click here) and on paper, ready for a spelling quiz which will take place every Friday. Additional research or creative homework may be given occasionally. The children enjoy our times table challenge competitions so any practise of times tables is always valuable. We will also have a reading challenge; this will run as follows:

• 4 books - Bronze
• 6 books - Silver
• 8 books - Gold.

PE will take place on a Wednesday and Thursday and Gardening/Bushcraft on a Thursday too.
