'Note' to see you! - 28 February 2020
We’ve had a lot of sunny, warm spells here in Class 4 this week…not!
Walking in on Monday morning we all had a huge shock. Mrs Jackson and her mum had been busy making our classroom even more fantastic over half term. They’ve given us a brand new Reading Corner (see picture below). We all absolutely love it and are very grateful!
In P.E, we have changed from dance to hockey this half term. Year 5 really enjoyed their first game. Year 6 this week did something a little different. They got to partake in a Young Leader’s Course so they can hopefully start play leading soon. Big shout out and thanks to Mr Robertshaw for a great afternoon.
In English, we have been reading Wolf Brother by Michelle Paver. It had a very sad start but we got through it and we’re hooked!
In Art, we have being experimenting printing using polystyrene, cardboard and wool. We created art and end up having Smurf hands in the process!
In Maths, Year 6 are doing co-ordinates and Year 5 have begun working fractions – it’s been a challenge!
We had a really cute moment this week watching Newsround where a baby Asian elephant had been born at Chester Zoo.
If you like Cross-Country, then we have some news… Zara in Class 4 is 23rd fastest Year 6 girl runner in the whole of Worcestershire (Mo Farrah watch out!).
We had our first go on the glockenspiels this week. We got to learn to read music and play a song using sheet music.
On a sad note, we all said our goodbyes to the legendary Mrs Smith yesterday. We wish her luck on her new adventure.
Manakin update: Manakin has spent the week snuggling up with Farmer Shang, however, he is now sprucing himself up in hope to find a wife as it’s a Leap year. On another note, please do report back to us if you have any sightings of Samakin (Manakin’s cousin who snuck out with us to Cadbury World before half term) he is still missing.
Ciao for now!
