Hello from Callum and Darcy - 11 October 2019

Hello! I’m Callum and I don’t exist…I’m joking…it’s Darcy!

On Wednesday, we had a brilliant morning learning all about Mental Health. We did letters on how we were feeling, sorted out when we felt certain activities would help and made a class understanding of what mental health is.

A huge well done to Micah for winning the first ever Handwriting Hero award last Friday. Enjoy using your gold pencil!

This week in English we have been writing formal letters to Harriet Baldwin MP or the local Green Party Councillors. In the letter, we included the subjunctive form and formal vocabulary choices to try and persuade them to make changes on a local level to help climate change.

In Maths, Year Six have been learning about factors, multiples and prime numbers and Year Five have been learning how to use column addition and subtraction. We have had an exciting week of playing on Times Tables Rockstars – we absolutely love it!

In computing, we made a multi-coloured, dancing dinosaur and created a cat and mouse chase game to get us started on how to properly use Scratch!

In Science, we drew a brilliant picture of the circulatory system as we have been learning about blood and the heart. We are now all really confident at talking about how our blood travels around the heart and body.

We can’t wait to see you all at our Stay and Share session next Thursday so that you can see what life is like in Class Four – bring on you being grilled by Miss Farnell instead of us for a change, haha!!!!!!!!!

Today we had a brilliant day at cross-country and got soaked. A big well done to Zara for coming fifth and getting into the next stage of the competition. We all tried really hard and none of us gave up or came last!! We enjoyed singing on the bus on the way there and the whole way back! Miss Farnell thought our singing was better than when we were in the production last year! Thank you SO much to our brilliant Running Gurus (Kate, Catherine and Lianne)! If it wasn't for them today, we wouldn't have gone so THANK YOUUUUUU!

Manakin Skywalker Update:

Manakin is such a poser doing his disco dancing this week!

See ya laterrrr
