Amazing Aztecs... - 24 January 2020
What a busy week learning all about the Aztecs.
We started by looking at Aztec artefacts. We had to work out what they were made from, what they were for and if we use something similar today.
Then we learnt about Aztec society, and the hierarchy. We compared the structure of Aztec society to Modern Britain. We decided who we would like to have been during Aztec times.
Some children have been busy making chocolate bars for their home learning. Ms Simmonds is enjoyinh be the Chief Chocolate Taster in school!
Sadly, the ice did not melt in time for us to play hockey outside safely on Tuesday. So, instead, we made a dance in the hall about the Aztec God, Quetzalcoatl, it was very beautiful.
Next week, we are looking forward to finishing our story writing and continuing our maths learning.
Have a good week everyone!
